Doctor On Demand

Best Medical Android apps – updated June 2023 (2)

  • Price: Free to download
  • In-app purchases: No
  • Size: Varies with device
  • Google Play rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars

Doctor On Demand is an immensely useful feature if you’re having some sort of a medical problem. This app’s goal is to connect you to a doctor via the Internet, and hopefully a doctor that’s nearby. It will connect you to a board-certified doctor, who will hopefully be able to help you with your problem. The doctor can only do so much while talking with you over the Internet, though, so do note that.

It can diagnose some problems, but for something more complicated, you’ll need to actually go to a doctor. Still, talking to a doctor online can help you with a wide range of things, and the app has great reviews in the Play Store. A lot of people are more than happy with the service here. Do note that this app is region-locked, though, it’s available in all 50 US states, and the district of Columbia.

GoodRx is a great app to have. Why? Well, it can help you save up to 80-percent on your prescriptions. If you’re getting prescriptions often, this is definitely the app you should at least try out. It has such a high rating for a reason, the app is currently holding a 4.8-star rating in the Play Store. Truth be said, not many people reviewed it thus far, but still, that’s an impressive feat.

This is essentially a pharmacy coupon and deal finder app, and it’s focused on the US market. It will provide you with Rx pharmacy discounts. Ada

Best Medical Android apps – updated June 2023 (7)

  • Price: Free to download
  • In-app purchases: No
  • Size: Varies with device
  • Google Play rating: 4.7 out of 5 stars

Ada is yet another highly-ranked app from this list. It’s essentially meant to be your health check go-to app. You don’t need an appointment, or anything of the sort. You simply provide your symptoms, and Ada is here to help. Regardless of whether you have recurring headaches, pain in a particular part of your body, or some sort of an allergy, Ada can be of use to you, and it’s available 24/7.

This app basically uses AI to help you. It will assess your symptoms against its medical dictionary, and provide you with an answer. You will receive a personalized assessment report in the process. Now, this may sound quite gimmicky to some of you, but it seems to work great. Over 300,000 people rated the app in the Play Store, and Ada has a truly high 4.7-star rating after that. It’s at least worth a shot, don’t you think?

Figure 1 is another rather interesting app that can benefit medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses. This app can help doctors provide a diagnosis. It won’t exactly be useful with regular, everyday problems that doctors are familiar with, but with more complicated diagnosis situations. This app provides them with medical cases that are relevant to the problem they’re facing.

For example, Figure 1 can provide doctors with images from a particular case, a case that is relevant to their current case. They can also discuss real-world medical cases with other doctors, and get help that way. On top of all that, the app can test your knowledge through case collaboration, quick quizzes, and CME. This app is definitely orientated towards doctors and nurses, not regular users.

It’s quite popular for people who have cancer and are going through chemotherapy.

That’s just one example, of course, there are various different use scenarios. Leafy will help you discover the cannabis that’s right for you. You can explore various products including weed strains, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, and edibles. AccuWeather

  • Price: Free to download

  • Size: Varies with device
  • Google Play rating: 3.9 out of 5 stars

AccuWeather is a weather app, so some of you may wonder what’s it doing on this list. Well, it most certainly is a weather app, but that’s only its primary use case. AccuWeather actually delivers a ton of additional data, just like some other weather apps do. If you’re sensitive to weather, this app gives out tons of useful data, such as heat alerts, low humidity alerts, and other weather phenomena.

On top of that, the app will show you the state of pollen, dust, dander, mold, and various other stuff you can find in the air. This can help you control your allergies, if you have some. Many people do, so such information is quite important to them. That’s one way AccuWeather is useful from a medical standpoint. The app is simply packed with useful information.
